We won’t lie; we were not doing great with the ‘hit the gym daily’ idea that looked easy during the initial days of the lockdown. We are busy munching and watching fitness videos on YouTube. We also scrolled through many shopping websites to motivate ourselves with a chic workout wardrobe, but that too didn’t work well for us. Until we came across activewear selection Nordstrom has to offer, and now suddenly, we have the urge to start working out again.
We have curated the workout pieces that are highly reviewed. The reviewers absolutely love these products; they are functional, chic, and, most importantly, affordable.
1. Zella Ava T-Shirt
Enlightening Review: This is the perfect tee for working out, walking, or casual wear. I have almost every color and want more colors-bright yellow, cobalt blue, dark purple, please. I would say it runs slightly large. I ordered 2 sizes and kept the smaller size. The shirt is a poly/lyocell/spandex blend, but feels so soft, like cotton. It’s so comfortable to wear and has a little bit of stretch. The length, sleeves, and V- neck are perfect. Please continue making this shirt exactly the way it is, but with more color options.- Happiness
2. Adidas Winners Muscle Tank
Enlightening Review: I love this top and wish it came in more colors! It has a loose fit and longer length (which I love). The older version was too short for me (would pull up if I raised my arms) but this newer version is PERFECT! I love workout tops that have a longer length so my backside is covered. This is stylish and comfortable all at the same time. Highly recommend! For reference, I’m usually a size medium and was able to comfortably size down to a size small in this top.- kah0824
3. Zella Live In High Waist Leggings
Enlightening Review: I’ve always heard that zella is comparable to lulu’s leggings but have never wanted to try them. Well, I bought these for anniversary sale because why not and they’re the best. There’s no pilling or chaffing after walking around all day. When they say high waisted, they mean it. They stay up! I also love the hidden little pocket as nothing ever falls out (not even my phone).- dyanav
4. Zella 3-Pack No-Show Socks
Enlightening Review: These are the BEST no-show sox. There are no other comparable ones! They fit perfectly, are comfortable with no seams to irritate your foot. Wash and wear…they dry very quickly, but do well in dryer, too. You will not be disappointed.- 123Zoom
5. Nike Indy Sports Bra
Enlightening Review: I love this sports bra because of its adjustable straps and low scoop neck. It doesn’t show when wearing it with v-neck or scoop-neck athletic shirts. I like that it has removable padding as well. I took those out right away.- Nordlike
6. Zella Body Fusion Sports Bra
Enlightening Review: I have been searching for a new compression sports bra that isn’t too tight in the band and doesn’t have removable cups. This one is exactly what I was looking for! It’s very snug getting it on, but I went for a run and it kept me comfortable the entire way. I haven’t worn without a shirt, so I can’t speak to any modesty issues. Enlightening Review: Looking for a sweatshirt that looks good with athletic shorts, leggings, Jean shorts, and tennis skirts- look no further. 8. Zella Live In High Waist Leggings
Enlightening Review: I love these! The length is just right (I am 5’6”). The waist sits high enough that I can wear comfortably with cropped shirts but not so high that I feel like I’m wearing shape wear. I hope these last a long time. 9. Calvin Klein Cotton Blend Racerback Bralette
Enlightening Review: I own 4 pairs of these bralettes. They are so comfortable and so easy to put on! I am a 32b and the padded sports bras I find to be too tight and have a little too much padding for my liking. This has no padding and is so comfortable! I dont really the need the support of a heavy duty sports bra, so this is perfect for me to work out in. I find myself wearing these all the time even if I am just lounging. Enlightening Review: As a regular runner, I have worn Nike Tempo shorts for decades. These are workhorse shorts for me and the only ones I wear. They are comfortable, and they last for years. I love their comfort, the feel of the material and especially love how they wash (cold wash and wear) and do NOT wrinkle. 14. Sweaty Betty After Class Sweatshirt
Enlightening Review: I was anticipating to not like this after reading some of the poor reviews but I absolutely love it! It’s a lightweight material, which I prefer, but still feels well made and is super comfy. I will definitely be able to run in this once it’s a little cooler out. I ordered my usual size and it fits me exactly like the model. The green color is super fun and will be great for running/walking in to be noticed!- Megan5493
15. Sweaty Betty Fast Track Jacket
Enlightening Review: So glad I splurged on this jacket! Very flattering. The material is beautiful but hard to describe: light weight like a wind breaker, yet stretchy (more stretchy on the bottom layer than the top). I ordered my usual small and I love the fit. It’s loose in the arms, which I like. If you like a tight spandex look, you could probably size down. Blush color is beautiful. The collar looks a little thick with the hood stuffed inside, but I love that it’s tucked away when i run and ready if it rains. Thumb holes and adjustable hood to keep things in place when running. Enlightening Review: I decided to purchase both colors to try during the anniversary sale and I’m so glad I did! I plan on keeping both bc they are really comfy and cute. Enlightening Review: They are very flashy and they match well with the specific jacket that goes with this specific set of pants. Be sure to look out for the jacket to complete the look. Can be worn with virtually most t shirts or other tops. Very very comfortable and it has a drawstring to tie at the waist if you don’t want the pants to fall down. Enlightening Review: Such a great hoodie, exactly what I was looking for. As other reviewers have mentioned it is boxier and run a bit large but sizing down would easily fix that. I went with my normal size as I wanted something that was a bit oversized. I purchased the lighter blue and I love the almost faded coloring. Debating on ordering a second! Enlightening Review: I purchased some oversized pants from another sportswear brand and they were terrible, so I was leary of trying these. But, the online picture looks good and many of the reviews in my size were good, so I gave it a go. I am so glad I purchased them. I wear a 16/18 and I a 5’7. I got the XL and they are awesome. The waist is a tiny bit snug but stretches out. The legs are fantastic and so classy. They are huge but the pleat is well done. Yes, they are long, but with a 3 inch horsebit mule or a stiletto or pump, they look fantastic. These can be worn casual or dressy. I have ordered a 2nd pair in black and another in gray.- Darlink
