Hi everyone, this past weekend was really relaxing! We were invited to this beautiful roof top bar Filifera last Sunday and we enjoyed the laid back vibe, good music, amazing views and great cocktails.
Black in fashion is a synonym of classic, we can all agree to that! We all have heard of when in doubt wear black but the irony is sometimes all black outfits can look a bit uninspiring or bland. Here are 3 simple ways to avoid your all black outfits look boring.
PLAY WITH SILHOUETTES & TEXTURES
To break the monotony, opt for clothes with interesting shapes, silhouettes, and proportions that will add more dimension to your all black ensemble. For example, features like exaggerated sleeves, ruffles etc. Using the subdued color palette to play with interesting silhouettes & textures will not only add more interest to your outfit but at the same time it still will look classy and not too out there because of it being all black.
ADD A STATEMENT PIECE IN ACCESSORIES
Sometimes you can add a sartorial pop of color to your outfit that can add more dimension to a relatively black canvas, like I added this beautiful camel tone bag from Strathberry. But if you want to stick to black even in accessories then opt for accessories with silver or gold hardware to add more of an edge to your all black outfit.
ADD A BOLD LIP COLOR
A bright lipstick will elevate your look and add the perfect pop of color. I’m wearing one of my favorite Tom Ford lipsticks in this post and it is a beautiful deep red color, you really should try it!
I’ve also rounded up a handful of GORGEOUS tops:
JOHANNA ORTIZ santa rosa wrap effect top
T BY ALEXANDER WANG lace up bodysuit
TOPSHOP ruffle cold shoulder top
EMERSON THORPE faye off the shoulder top
Thanks for stopping by
Stay Fancy
